Kean University Students: Social/Cultural Issue Photomontage Created with Digital Media

FALL 2020

FA 1000 Sec 22

Social/Cultural Issue Photomontage
Created with Digital Media

I am sending you some of the best ones I got in case you need to say in Fine Arts 1000 professors were addressing the social/emotional/cultural issues of Fall 2020 in order to reach/retain students etc. These are pretty poignant works as you will see. Some have great text too.

"Mixed Emotions: Ethan Esposito" (Image Number 4)
"This collage represents the topic of Mental Health. Specifically, it represents the negative thoughts and feelings that run through us. The astronaut on the moon is supposed to symbolize how he's separated from the world, Earth (as you can see on the right side). I put the astronaut on the moon to represent the main idea of the piece to show that standing alone in a deep and empty space can bring forth negative emotions and thoughts. But despite how dark and scary things can be, there's always a light to come by through it all, as it is represented in the reflection of the astronaut (the sun). To sum it up, I feel like although people face different mental health issues every day whether it is anxiety, depression, etc. that there's always going to be something good that takes that away."
